Mambo A Seamless Spray System MAMBO Frequently Asked Questions Question: How is the Mambo available for FREE use? Answer: Topps® makes spray equipment available on loan for any roof coating job requiring a minimum of 6 barrels (330 gallons or more) of coating. Less than that and the benefit is marginal. There is a rental agreement you'll sign, you'll make a deposit, and your costs will be deducted from your deposit with the balance being returned to you. Insurance coverage is also required. Question: Are there any hidden charges? Answer: Absolutely not. You are responsible only for freight both ways, a small reconditioning fee (provided that you clean the unit thoroughly before return without damages) and daily rental fees that are in excess of your free days. There is sufficient FREE time allowed for the quantity of coating you order, and there are no charges for rain delays so long as you call our Spray Department the day of rain so that you are not charged. No other materials other than Topps are to be sprayed using the MAMBO™ spray unit. Question: What are the up-front and other charges? Question: How often may I do this? Answer: As often as you'd like. We realize that owning a unit is not for everyone. However, the availability of one of our fleet units is as beneficial to you as it is to us. Once you experience the profitability, savings, and the excellent job the MAMBO™ spray system does for you, your business will expand. This ability to do larger jobs with just a small crew is so great, that it benefits everyone when you can do more. Consequently, we're happy to provide this service. Question: Will I need to rent a separate compressor? What if I have questions? Answer: No. The unit arrives complete and ready to use. The compressor is built-in, so all you add is gasoline. We provide you with all tips and a complete instruction manual. You will require at least one 5-gallon pail of mineral spirits to flush the lines and clean the tips before packing it up in its reshipping container, and rags for clean-up. Mambo™ comes with 200 feet of hose and a siphon (so that you may spray direct from 5-gallon pails or 55 gallon drums), the spray gun, and tips. Two men can easily move the unit. Our staff is also trained in equipment use so, in the unlikely event a question arises, we can help handle it over the phone. The equipment is manufactured by Graco so, in most instances, there is a service center nearby if needed. Question: What about interruptions, lunch, or shut down over night? Answer: The unit is a closed system. Simply shut the unit down, put the spray tip in mineral spirits so it doesn't harden, and close up any opened coating. No need to drain lines and clean the unit until ready to return it. Question: What does the reconditioning fee cover? Answer: An authorized Graco service center thoroughly goes over the unit after use, inspects, and performs routine service. Certain parts are replaced on a regular schedule so that every time a unit goes out, to the best of our knowledge, it is in excellent condition. However, the unit and components must be returned cleaned and in the same condition. Question: How much can I benefit by using the Topps® Mambo Spray System? Answer: First time users typically save about 50% of the labor costs after prep work. This increases with roof size and experience. Since it allows 3 workers to do the work of 6, you do roofs quicker. It allows you to do larger roofs with a smaller crew. Question: What advantages are there other than cost savings? Answer: The complete roof is done so quickly that the coating cures as one continuous unbroken film application is truly seamless.
