Metal roofs expand and contract with weather changes. That puts stress on seams and the areas around protrusions - vents, signs, flashings, joints, and rooftop equipment. When roofs shift even a small amount around these protrusions, a gap is left for water to enter the building. Topps® Polyprene® stops those leaks before they begin.
Polyprene is a ready-to-use rubberized roof repair cement that can be used on metal, BUR, EPDM, wood, masonry, and mineral cement. Formulated in two grades to apply easily in all situations, Polyprene cures quickly to a solid, long-lasting, watertight seal.
Trowel Grade Polyprene is thicker, with enough "body" to fill gaps up to 1/4" without sagging. Applied with trowel or gloves, its tough rubber seal is amazingly strong! Brush Grade Polyprene spreads easily around protrusions and end laps, yet holds tight to seal out moisture.
Use either Polyprene grade with polyester reinforcing fabric (PolyCore™) for more critical or difficult to seal areas.
