 Topps Products, Inc.
Attn: Arlan Koppel
Dear Arlan:
Well, your TOPPS SEAL SYSTEM works just perfectly ...
As you know, we wanted to experience rains before commenting
upon the entirety of your system; we were immediately impressed
with the completely different impression Topps Seal gave our
dining hall/meeting facility.
The seven inches of rain that flooded areas in our region
recently gave us the supreme test. For the first time since I
am aware, our cafeteria was without roof leaks.
The building was erected in 1965 and for years the roof has
leaked constantly, apparently at seams and fasteners, despite
many attempts to patch it up. Corrosion was beginning to take
its toll and the entire roof looked so unsightly that something
had to be done.
Of prime consideration was the aesthetics. Our people decided
the option of rubberizing it with Topps' system, maintaining
it and avoiding roof replacement costs, made great sense compared
to the waste and expense of total replacement. Our other options
were to try again to patch it up then paint it with common water
type acrylic paints, which can actually trigger rust, or to replace
it. The unique option of the Topps system has definitely given
us what we wanted. And the attractive finish beautifully blends
the roof color with others in the surrounding area of the campus.
The Benedictine College is a landmark institution, having
been in existence for 140 years. We rely greatly upon the generosity
of benefactors, and each of us consider ourselves guardians of
the investments made by others. Suffice it to say we are rather
careful when it comes to expenditures. I am pleased to tell you
our decision to go with Topps is right in line with our philosophy.
It has met our expectations, and has our recommendations.
Sincerely,

Dale Herrick
